A little bit about myself
I am obsessed with creating. Design, animation, fine art, film- I want to be a part of it all.
In 7th grade, I began drawing a comic with my best friend. It was then I discovered that I had a passion for entertaining people through creating artwork. I dabbled in film- in high school I created a ridiculous series of shorts. I dabbled in fine art- I would draw portraits and caricatures of friends and family. I also dabbled in animation- I created several interactive animations with Flash.
I never followed these passions past a hobby stage. I went to college with the idea that I wanted to become an architect. This dream flopped when I realized it was not my passion. After getting burnt out working and studying full time, I took an offer to teach English in a rural South Korean town. It was time to travel and find my place in the world.
During my time in South Korea, I rediscovered my passion to create. For my English lessons I made little animations with the students' faces implemented in them. I created multiple pages of content for a website dedicated to communicating between teachers living in South Korea. I did portraits for students' families. I made animations for training future English teachers. I was hooked.
When I finished my teaching contract, I raced back home to attend the Academy of Art University. After 4 years of hard work and a shiny new Bachelor's in Fine Arts, I am one final step closer to finding my career position.
Currently, I am freelancing. I study online daily, creating sketches and portraits, keeping my skills sharp and evolving. I look forward to the future happily, knowing I found my passion.
